A Solemn end to the season at the CSC initiated last weekend with our Annual Global Meeting. We’d like to raise special thanks to Catherine, Mark, Eilish and Liam who have stepped down from the committee, your contributions are valued beyond words!
A very special thanks to our Club Secretary Derek, who has been presented an Honorary Life Membership and commemorative tankard for his years of dedicated service and devotion to the CSC!
And to the new committee, a wish of thanks and good luck! With Pete continuing as Commodore and Larry as Vice-Comm, Allen as Treasurer and Derek as Secretary, we have a strong team of flag officers, supported by the wider committee, to steer the helm into a successful 2022 season for the CSC.
Finally, we’re extremely proud and honoured to have James Stacey brought on as Sailing Officer; with some finely tuned race-officer skills James will be invaluable in delivering a season of sailing next year that leaves the 2021 pandemic madness in the dirty air of our sails.
We look forward to seeing our members next week at our Laying Up Supper, and plenty of new faces for the 2022 season! Stay safe!
